Description:

She is a wonderful little girl who was going to be put down because she had a yeast infection all over her body which has been treated with medicated baths and a special diet.

It will be another 3 weeks before Molly can be spayed. And it will be several weeks after that before she can come home. We have dozens of applications and she will have many wonderful homes to choose from. Thank you for checking Molly out. Please look at one of the other Yorkies on our website.

Molly, like many young Yorkies has 2 full rows of teeth - so she needs to have her baby teeth pulled when she is spayed which will be very shortly.

Molly likes to be held close - she is on the needy side; she melts into a puddle when given affection; Molly attaches to women fairly easily and appreciates being loved.

She is a calm, total lap dog, and she travels well in the car.

Molly has had a few heats and/or was bred (possibly a backyard breeder). She needs her spay and a dental. After that, this tiny girl, will be just about ready for a nice, quiet, adult home. She is very timid and cannot take loud voices or turmoil, so homes with children or boisterous spirits will overwhelm her.

We are looking for someone who wants to hold a small girl on their lap and love her to pieces.

She is relaxing near Erie, PA with her foster mom, Lenore.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them.
2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup " Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally range from $250-$450 depending on the health, age and size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after.

Why does SAVE A YORKIE RESCUE charge the amount above for a rescued dog?

THE AVERAGE COST FOR EACH YORKIE BEFORE IT GOES TO IT'S NEW FOREVER HOME IS OVER $600.00

This includes (if needed) but is not limited to:

Transportation, Complete Vet Check, bring up to date on shots (most dogs have little to no shots when brought in), fecal check, heartworm check, lyme disease check, food, spay/neuter, teeth check up and cleaning, treatment for mange, grooming, treatment for ear mites...some dogs require even more.

We charge a higher fee for the younger healthier dogs to help off-set the cost involved with the older dogs that come into the rescue.

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, NY, DE, VA, DC area's, but will consider homes in nearby surrounding states.
