Ketchum If You Can is available for adoption.

He is 1 year old and weighs 5 pounds.

His adoption fee is $450.00.

Ketchum is PERFECTION!!    He is the sweetest young affectionate  tiny Yorkie in rescue today.

Ketchum is charming, non-stop cuteness and as pretty as a Yorkie can be.  He adores playing with other small dogs and would love a little buddy to chase and and snuggle next to because his favorite pastime is playing with his foster siblings.

He comes when you call his name, loves playing with toys, rides beautifully in the car, and marches proudly with a harness and leash.  You name it, he is perfection.  Yorkie lovers – where are you?

Ketchum has never had a potty accident in his foster home. Period. What else do you want? He potties outside in the grass (which is why a grassy fenced yard is necessary).  His gorgeous Yorkie hair is breath taking and as his facial hair grows in fuller and longer as he gets older, he will be even more beautiful than he is now.  Do you see a top knot in his future?

Ketchem is one smart cookie too.  He knows many commands already and will make you proud in obedience classes (they are required for all of our puppies.)  He is looking for an active person just like him, who enjoys walking every day, exploring and spending time together.

He will be happiest in a family where someone  is home much of the time (that is why a little buddy for Ketchum is important)  and because he does not like being left alone. Do you work from home?  Newly retired?  You are just who we are looking for.

Ketchem is neutered, up to date on his vaccines and microchipped.  He is so ready for his furever home – his baby butt is high in the air doing his play bow – begging to play chase.

Ketchum is a wonderful dog, a beautiful Yorkie -  he is PERFECTION!  Thought you wanted a little girl? Think again – the girls can’t compare to the boys in snuggling devotion. Ketchem is perfect and ready to go – NOW.

The holidays are just ahead and the cold weather is on us.  When you think of your home and family, coming together, smiling and loving, think Ketchem –he’ll be right there with you to enjoy the good times.  Hurry because he is ready now and will be going to the perfect family – cause he IS perfect. Ketchem if you can!

He is vacationing in Voorhees, NJ, with Kathy and her gang.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
