will not be adopted Leona will keep him 5/16/05Good Guy is a big, sweet, adorable Yorkie boy who just turned 9 years old - equivalent to about 45 in people years - not an old dog at all - in fact, he is probably younger than a lot of you ladies pounding those computer keyboards. He has now taken to toys and he plays his little heart out. He willbring you a toy to play with him. If you throw a toy, he will retrieve it andbring it back to you. He will sit for a treat, listens well off a leash(nevertries to run off, stays right with me), he's gotten along great with the otherdogs--no signs of aggression, no signs of aggression with strange people....hewent right up to my roomate and her boyfriend to be petted and loved, just ashe does with me. He no longer has any interest in his dog beds....he sleepsin bed every night. He loves being outside, running, playing, laying inthe yard, etc. He came from a home with small children and while he loved them, all of the noise and chaos made him nervous and on edge. Good Guy is a shy boy who is just getting used to being around other dogs. He would do well in a home with another passive dog but would not be happy around other aggressors. This larger Yorkie boy (18 pounds of brown-eyed love) is wonderful and loyal and would make a great addition to a quiet, loving home. Don't you need a friend to go for walks with you this wonderful time of year? For more information about Guy, please call his foster mom (phone number is at the right) between 10 am and 1 pm during the day!KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND: 1. Yorkies do not generally get along well with small children. 2. Yorkies are nearly impossible to housebreak. 3. You will NOT find a puppy in Yorkie Rescue and we consider a dog up to 3 years old to be a puppy. 4. It is rare for us to get a FEMALE into rescue. 5. There is no such thing as a tea cup Yorkie so don't be misled by such a fantasy description. 6. Senior Citizens get preferred treatment. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you adopt. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
