Before you can adopt, you must be approved!Find out more on our website: www.saveayorkierescue.orgBefore you inquire, read below about this dog to make sure it is the right match for you. If the dog is listed on petfinder, he/she is still available. Please call between 5pm and 9pm only!Meet Sonny. Sonny is a wonderful, healthy Yorkie puppy. He was born in January 2005 making him just 9 months old. Sonny came from a very reputable breeder and was returned because the family that had him was not yorkie experienced and were not able to housetrain him. Sonny is a well bred Yorkie who weighs just under 6 pounds and is in perfect health. He has been bile acid tested (no liver shunt), is neutered and up to date on shots. His neutering was done early enough that he does not hike his leg and squats to pee. This will be a big help with the housetraining! He is a very affectionate little boy and gets along well with other dogs. Sonny is THE most perfect and loving boy for the right family. As with all of our dogs, we are very selective about his new home as we want to be sure that he will never need another one. If you are interested in Sonny or one of our other wonderful dogs, please go to our website and fill out an application to begin the approval process.Sonny's adoption donation is $750.00Save A Yorkie Rescue is a non-profit organization operating on donations only. Please help our cause by clicking on the Paypal button below. Generosity is appreciated!KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND: 1. Yorkies do not get along well with small children. 2. Yorkies are very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. 3. It is rare for us to get a FEMALE into rescue.4. We do not adopt to anyone over the age of 75. 5. There is no such thing as a tea cup Yorkie so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you adopt. ALL money coming into rescue goes to pay the vet bills of our dogs - the younger, healthier ones pay for the old and sick. We prefer homes in the PA and NJ areas but do consider homes in the nearby surrounding states. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
