Daphne is available for adoption. When Daphne first arrived, she was shy, unsure of toys, and struggled with sharing affection. She has separation anxiety and needs a home where someone is around most of the time. Daphne requires a gentle and patient adopter who will take the time to let her feel safe and build trust. After just a week, Daphne has made incredible progress. She now loves to play with her foster brother and sister and enjoys a good mix of play, snuggles, and rest. She’s also becoming more comfortable with grooming—she recently let me brush out her knots, which was a big step! Daphne is smart and eager to learn. She is doing well with potty training, even using the dog bell to go outside. She handled her first vet visit beautifully, showing no signs of aggression or anxiety, even during her blood draw. We believe Daphne would thrive in a home where she is either the only dog or with one other dog who enjoys a balanced life of play, cuddles, and calm. She would do best with someone who works from home or a family that can provide the stability and love she needs. Daphne is truly a special dog with so much love to give. If you’re looking for a devoted companion who will be your little shadow, Daphne is the perfect match. Let’s find this sweet girl the forever home she deserves! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
