Yoshi is available for adoption. Yoshi is a 6-year-old bundle of sweetness with the most adorable "bat ears" you’ve ever seen. This lovable chubster has had quite the journey—after losing his beloved owner, he’s been through four different homes in just a few months. But through it all, Yoshi has remained remarkably friendly, resilient, and adaptable. He just rolls with the changes and continues to greet each day—and each person—with a wagging tail and a hopeful heart. Don’t let his recent past fool you—Yoshi is a gem! He’s neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and 100% housetrained. He sleeps soundly through the night and is a fantastic passenger in the car. Mealtime is his favorite time of day (he is a bit of a foodie), but thanks to quality food and regular strolls around the neighborhood, he’s already shedding a few pounds and enjoying the benefits of a healthier lifestyle. Yoshi will need a dental, which is scheduled, and he’ll be ready to find his forever home after July 7th. His name, Yoshi, is of Japanese origin and carries a beautiful meaning—yo meaning "good" or "excellent" and shi meaning "respectful" or "honor." Fittingly, it can also mean "adopted child"—a perfect name for a dog who's just waiting to be lovingly adopted into his forever family. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion who has mastered the art of adjusting with grace, Yoshi might just be your perfect match. Yoshi is staying with Alyson in Nutley, NJ. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
