Mickey is the manly part of the loving couple. Lilly La Rue is his main squeeze. His girl. He protects her and loves her very much. Want two sweethearts? Here they are: Lilly and Micky are the perfect yorkie couple. They came into rescue on Friday because their mommy is in a special home where people can take care of her. Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed. Lilly is about 6.5 pounds and tiny compared to her beau Micky. Micky is about 9 pounds. They have their own beds but prefer to sleep with each other a lot of the times. They follow each other everywhere and seem to cry if one is without the other.
They have adjusted quite well in their new home. They have been very good on their walks and so far so good with no accidents in the home. They are eating well too. The first couple of nights they were quiet but they seem to both found their voices. If someone new comes in to the house Micky will start to bark and Lilly will follow his lead. They both settle down after greeting the person. They have been introduced to people of all age ranges in the past few days and they have been introduced to dogs in the neighborhood. They both have been well mannered.
Lilly tends to be more vocal during meal times at the table. However, everyone in the home has been instructed to ignore her and not feed her any table scraps. Micky will usually sit by your feet hoping you will drop a table scrap. They aren't big jumpers although Lilly is quite speedy going up and down the stairs. They both enjoy being picked up and petted.
The cutest thing I've seen them do is give each other kisses. :) They are vacationing in Kingston, NY = put your application in now!
