Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
The owner was moving out West immediately and could not take Murphy along. He had raised "Murphy" since he was a puppy and urgently wanted to find him a loving home. As far as we can estimate, Murphy turned 1 year around October 2006. Murphy is a playful pup that is crate-trained. He is great with older children and other dogs and has quite a personality. He loves to be with people at all times and is sure to alert you when someone is coming by the house. He has learned to do quite well on a leash. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
