Hoda

Hoda, now Gracie, is in her new forever home with Cheryl and Chris. Chris and I spoke several times and he never waived in their interest for Hoda. When they visited Hoda, Cheryl and Chris were very mindful of the situation that she had come from and were very calm and patient with her. Chris sat down in the floor and proceeded to pull a treat out of his shirt pocket, now that is great planning and it worked! Hoda slowly walked across the floor and took the treat from him and then Cheryl followed suit. Although still a tad bit skittish, she was not afraid, as she normally has been. Cheryl and I text regularly and Hoda is doing well in her new furever home. Chris is retired and Cheryl recently retired as well, so Miss Hoda will be getting all the attention, cuddles and treats she so deserves. I am confident this little girl found a warm and loving home! Congratulations Hoda!!!

Cuddle Bug

Our sweet and adorable Cuddle Bug was adopted! Cuddle came into rescue needing surgery to remove bladder stones and stayed with his foster family for just over two months until post-surgery testing was complete. Kara, Dan and their children, Jane and Easton, along with their Morkie, Chewie arrived to meet Cuddle on a mild weekend in February. No one slept the night before! They were all so excited to finally meet him! There were greetings outside so Chewie and Cuddle could get acquainted and then it was time for a walk and then playtime in the backyard. Squeaky toys were flying with lots of laughs and smiles. Cuddle is busy making himself at home. He has a four-legged brother to share lots of exploring, lots of walks, lots of squeaky toys and backyard adventures. He is enjoying hours of scratches, warm snuggles with his humans and comfy laps. He is super happy and well loved! Congratulations Cuddle Bug!!!

Luppi

The little munchkin has a new home. The first 30 mins were tentative, Miss Luppi was not at all sure of ”those people”. The family was very patient and let her sniff and bark until she thought they were oooookkkkaaayyyy. She let everyone love on her, AND play with her favorite toy. I have no doubt that she has a great life ahead of her. Congratulations Luppi!!!

Firestar

I am so thankful for Save a Yorkie Rescue! I was blessed to be able to foster Firestar! She is truly a Star! There is no denying, the moment my husband and I made the journey home to foster Firestar; we knew that she was special. Her true personality of being such a happy and bouncy little girl shines bright. She has captured our hearts and every day we continue to bond with love. We are so very happy to have Firestar as part of our family! Congratulations to Firestar and us!!!

Sophia

Sophia is in her forever home with the Stilman's, their beautiful grand-daughter Allysa and Sophia's (now) two little four legged sisters Tilly and Lulu! When the Stilman's came to meet Sophia, Maryanne immediately sat on the floor with her and I think Sophia bonded! Then Sophia saw Tilly and proceeded to follow her all around my apartment. They kept touching their noses together, it was the cutest thing ever! I received a sweet video of Sophia running in the backyard with Maryann and Tilly...she walked almost a mile, exploring the backyard and then wanted to be picked up to go inside for a nap next to Larry. (what a life!) Sophia is especially close to Allysa and lights up when she walks through the door ready for hugs. Maryann said "she is my baby girl..I put a little bell on her collar and I hear her jingling behind me everywhere I go!" What a loving family!! Congratulations Sophia!!!
