Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
Lexi is a great little girl who was found as a stray with her friend Penny. She has been through a lot but is still a happy girl. Lexi is a doll. She is small, we are guessing 5 lbs. She gets along fine with all three of her foster dogs and has basically ignored the kitty. Of course, the kitty is 3 x her size, so it may just show how smart she is. :) She ate well, she follows her foster mom everywhere and likes to be held. She even slept in her lap while she was eating lunch. She is also perfectly content just to be near her person by laying on the floor. She tried to get the otherdogs to play with her by throwing that little butt in the air in her best imitation of a puppy bow. Everytime she has been taken outside (which has been a lot) she goes potty, and so far she has not gone potty inside. She was kenneled for the short car ride with no problems, and for a short while at the new foster home. She went right in and didn't seem to mind it at all.Give Lexi a chance. Her adoption donation is $350. She is in Harrisburg, PA What a sweetie! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
