Beanie

The minute we picked up Beannie at the Frederick Airport, we somehow knew he was special. After losing our beloved Willow only weeks before, we felt that fostering would help us heal. Little did we anticipate that the little fellow Pilots and Paws brought to us would find a place in our hearts so quickly. Beannie is perfect. He adjusted to our home immediately and bonded with Bob right away. The two of them are inseparable. Wherever my husband is, Beannie is right beside him. While Jojo has always been my "velcro" dog, now Beannie is the same with Bob. We're so happy that we can offer our boy a loving and caring home. He certainly has enriched our lives! Thank you, Save a Yorkie Rescue. Love from Harriette, Bob, Jojo, and Beannie. Congratulations Beanie!!!

Buttin

On July 10, Buttin (now Shiloh) found just the right fit with Giovanna and Mayra. Arriving promptly at 10 AM, Buttin's forever family brought treats and the B-E-S-T stuffed toys ever -- one blue crocodile and one long- legged, long-necked chicken. Buttin thought both of these toys were great especially when Giovanna got on the floor and showed him she was a first-class playmate. Then it was time to jump into Mayra's lap and get the most wonderful pats, rubs and scratches. Mayra knew just the right spots to make Buttin smile. After playtime, Giovanna, Mayra and Chuck took Buttin for a walk. When Giovanna started to jog, Buttin happily trotted right along side of her. All returned to the house and it was time for paperwork. Buttin begrudgingly let Giovanna and Mayra read those pesky papers all the while trying to wiggle up into their laps for pats. Once all was signed and SAYR Tote collected, Buttin headed out excitedly to the car. After being clipped into his new bucket booster seat, it was time for him to go for a short ride to his forever home. It's been reported that he's made himself at home, took a walk of the neighborhood, met some new doggies and found the dog park complete with fire plug. Foster Mom and Dad are sure Buttin has nothing but fair winds and following seas in his future! Congratulations Buttin!!!

Chayse

Chayse is my first foster, and first foster fail! I drove to New Jersey 2.5 months ago with friends to meet another volunteer half way, and on our way back in the backseat of the car we started to bond. Even though he didn’t look like a Yorkie, and was so skinny you could see his ribs, and he had the runs, and was as nervous as could be, my heart melted. He is a completely different dog now. So handsome. Very confident and loyal, loves his walks, his toys, helping me in the yard, playing with the neighbor’s dogs, and resting while I work. Can’t imagine life without him now! Congratulations Chayse!!!

Kimmie

Lil Kimmie was adopted on Sunday by Layne. She drove down from northern NY with her sister Margo and their dogs Taco & Tazz. They came over Saturday afternoon to meet Kimmie and it was love at first sight. Tazz and Taco were also very excited to add a sister to the pack! Layne was so excited to adopt Kimmie and give her the amazing life she deserves. Kimmie is an older dog who was surrendered with her son Inky back in March. Inky was adopted last month since they were not a bonded pair. Kimmie had some health issues to work through but she is a fighter and is doing great now 😊 Layne is retired and will be able to spend lots of time with Kimmie. She also told me she had a closet full of clothes for her! Layne seems like the perfect home for Kimmie. Congratulations Kimmie!!!

Maxx

Here’s Maxx with Lynn and Michael...Since Day 1, Maxx and his younger sister Tiny Dancer have gotten along quite well. Maxx enjoys couch time and being held. Tiny and he often sleep next to each other on the couch. He has been with us just over three weeks - during that time it was easy to see Maxx had arrived at his forever home. Maxx had won our hearts. Thanks for introducing us to Maxx. Since we started with Save-A-Yorkie, we have had two successful adoptions (Willy and Anakin), and two foster fails. Congratulations Maxx!!!
